Poppins typeface family
Matkahuolto uses Poppins, a geometric Sans Serif typeface. It is based on geometry, in particular the circular shape, and is therefore highly balanced in its proportions. Poppins is part of Google’s font library and can be downloaded for free.
Aside from the basic Poppins cuts, italics is used, for example in quotes or highlights or proper names when they need to stand out from the text.
Typographic hierarchy
Matkahuolto’s typographic conventions are simple and uncomplicated. As a rule, columns are left-adjusted and ragged right. Additionally, the importance of empty space in clarifying and structuring content must also be understood.
